Looking for a new Ribbon?
What we need to know:

Printer Manufacturer:

The manufacturer of your printer.
E.G - TEC, Zebra, Citizen, Datamax, Intermec etc.

Printer Model:

This tells us the size core you need and ribbon length
E.G - TEC BSA4, Citizen CLP621, Zebra LP2824, Datamax I4208, Intermec PF8T etc.

Ribbon Types:
(Wax, Wax Resin & Resin) There are a couple of factors when choosing your ribbon type

1. Quality
The more resin - the more scuff resistance and less smudging.

Wax Ribbon = Medium Quality
Wax Resin Ribbon = High Quality
Resin Ribbon = Excellent Quality

2. Type of Label

Wax Ribbon = General labels
Wax Resin Ribbon = Semi-gloss & varnished labels
Resin Ribbon = High-gloss & varnished labels


Ribbon Width / Length:

The width of the ribbon should be determined by the width of the label going through your printer, we usually recommend a few mm's more than your label width, which is usually measured in "mm"

The length of the ribbon is determined by the Printer Model. E.G. The TEC SX4 Printer takes upto 600m length ribbon, whereas the TEC B852 only takes upto 300m length ribbon.

Generally it is better to use the longest lenght that is possible, to reduce loading time and improve efficiency.
